He was very selfless in his protest. I’ve grown to believe that Colin Kaepernick is destined for a better life that reaches far beyond football. Though, football may be his passion. His steps have been redirected by a higher calling, a different plateau, and a powerful journey that even he did not initially imagine.

Sometimes those that travel alone travel to a destination that is Colin Kaepernick I’ll take a knee with kaep before I ever stand with Trump shirt, so great, and so intriguing that they themselves have a need to pause along the way so that they can inhale the wonder and respect of the scenery. First, it was the headscarves promoting oppression of women and now it’s disrespecting our armed forces and police. Wearing anything with the Nike label constitutes hate speech. I guess no matter how hard we try, we will only see want we want to see and only hear what sounds right to us.
Regardless of what we elect to do, as long as we are “doing something with a purpose and meaning, doing what you believe in and seeing it thru, even if it means you stand to lose everything, this is a sacrifice” that not too many choices to make. I applaud him for taking a stance. He harmed no one and created a conversation in which so few people are listening to understand, only hearing to respond.
