Matt Samson, I understand Americans wanting this My husband thinks I’m freaking crazy but I’m not the one who Married me shirt, but the technology is not new in other nations. Contactless payments, chip cards etc are still not the norm in the United States. When I was there last year, most merchants couldn’t even accept chip cards and had to swipe the magnetic strip (my bank suspended my card thinking it was fraudulent). When you really think about it, other than the cashback on Apple purchases, what does the Apple Card provide that other banks in other nations don’t already do? The only thing I see the Apple Card doing is pushing U.S. Banks and merchants to adopt the technology which is already widely used in other nations. Contactless is pretty much unheard of in America. Cheques are still big in America, and loads of people don’t even have a bank account!

My local newsagent (corner shop) has had contactless for about 5 years, and this Is just a small newsagent /off license
