Staying home is keeping the disease from spreading too rapidly so hospitals can provide adequate medical care & treatments can be found.BTW if you keep up with data, you would know that this disease does NOT only affect elderly or immunocompromised- people of all ages have become critically ill & have died. Children are an increasing concern & young healthy adults (aged 20-50) make up about 40% of critical hospitalizations. Near Boston, for example, a 35-year-old healthy man has been on a ventilator for nearly a month. Check reputable sites for more details.
Who else? Who will you label? As for your not finding ill people near you, how can you be sure that they – or you- might be asymptomatic carriers spreading the virus as you grocery shop or go about your day? Eastern CT has had lower numbers – we have been more likely to follow guidelines, we have fewer people, not generally in densely populated areas. But Mass north of us & much of southwestern CT still has high infection levels. Why are you more concerned about your “right” to do whatever you want than about the health & lives of those you share a community with? Says a great deal about you! I hope you realize as infection spreads, even you may become ill, even critically ill. What happens when you go to a then overwhelmed hospital & are told we cannot treat you ( or a loved one) because we have no beds, no meds, too many ill healthcare workers? I hope you manage to stay healthy but even more hope you do not endanger a loved one or innocent bystander. There is no one so blind as he who refuses to see!Home: Ctee shirt
