Never once was it raised as a problem- it was viewed as encouraging people to understand. The elders only wanted people kept out of their sites around the base of the rock. I have checked with the Traditional owners when I worked there as an adult. I actually lived in Uluru as an adult. I have spent much time at Mutitjulu as well as many other places such as Wingalina, Pip, Fregon and many others.i have my information from the actual elders and not from the media or outsiders! How about you?
The Rock could always be climbed. This entire myth was invented in the mid 1980s by a US marketing firm to make the Rock more ‘sacred’. There was zero discussion of it by anyone before that – it’s not real. The guy who told me originally was a guy named Paddy Uluru( when I was a young kid of 15 ). Look him up. I am not trying to confound you. Maybe You just want to believe what the media tells you. Maybe you should also be as a skeptic all of what the media is also telling you as you are of me and figure out where they got their information? Or you just believe what they tell you , and you don’t mind- well that maybe that makes you a – well you get the picture?
